Meet the Team
What started out as just Jill in 2010 has grown to a core team of 9 people. We all bring our own skills and passions to help support our Practice Momentum clients and while we are all very different people we are also all very similar too.
Read on to see just how similar we all are - it's spooky !!!
Jill Woods
Founder and Happiness JunkieÂ
As a child, I always wanted to run a business, but 2 winters as a ski instructor, led to parental pressure and several "sensible" jobs in marketing. Still wanting my own business lead me to retrain as a podiatrist. After graduation, I started both teaching podiatry and my own practice and discovered 2 new loves.
Owning a business and teaching.
A third love led me to become a military wife but moving to 16 homes on 4 continents meant a clinical career wouldn't work. But after trying various off and online businesses, I had a light bulb moment.Â
Why not combine my marketing and digital skills, and practice owning and teaching experience? And so in 2010 Practice Momentum was borne.
I absolutely love what I do. Healthcare marketing has the power to transform lives, and that really excites me. Helping health practitioners around the world get better at marketing, build businesses that make them happy, and help millions of patients find the care they need to give them a better quality of life, is pretty dam special đ.
Away from work, I love time in nature, always learning, and travel adventures.
My idea of heaven - Being alone, warm sun, a good book and peace and quiet. On a beach, mountain, or squashy sofa, I don't mind which.

Jo Walkworth
Community and Social Champion
(If you've been responded to in super quick time on social media, that will be Jo at work)
The positive ripples the Practice Momentum team makes always astounds me. Coaching healthcare business owners to improve and enjoy their practices means more people are happy and healthy. I had a previous career working in Radiotherapy in the NHS, and the caring aspect of those years still plays a major part in who I am today.
Social media feels daunting to lots of people; it changes daily. I love to plan, create, manage and engage on social media. Most business owners are busy doing their roles; I’m here to take away the stress of content creation and pinging notifications.
I value my daily dog walk, giving me a chance to catch up with friends or listen to podcasts; it’s good to have an hour away from my desk.
In our house as well as my dog Bracken, there is my husband who is in the Army, and we have two teenage boys. As a family, we spend lots of time on the water, surfing, canoeing, and paddleboarding.
My idea of heaven - Sitting next to a river or on the beach with a fire, family, and friends, making smores.
Jen Sands
Administrator Extraordinaire
(She makes things happen that most of us don't even know need to happen)
I love all things admin. I know right, someone's got to!
I've been working with Jill inside Practice Momentum for 5 years, and it's been wonderful seeing the business grow, and supporting healthcare practitioners with their admin and marketing.
I manage and co-ordinate our team delivering both our Email and Admin Magic services, as well as looking after the Operational side of Practice Momentum.
I love to deliver great service and strive for excellent results in all that we do as a team. I'm always working to develop and improve our processes within the business, and as a team we brainstorm really well on our regular zoom calls.
Away from work, I'm kept busy with my 3 children, crazy Whippet, and my husband who runs his own carpentry business (yes, my admin skills are put to use there too!). I also LOVE to play Netball and manage to do so at least once a week in Norwich.
My idea of heaven - A lovely stroll with my family, friends, and a crazy whippet - followed by a bag of chips on the beach as the sun sets.

Dave Wooldridge
Website Hero
(When another client gets excited about their new website, it's down to Dave's creativity and perseverance)
I’m a web designer with a maths background. I spent twelve years teaching maths in secondary schools around Nottingham before starting my own web design business. Now that my kids are grown up and can look after themselves (mostly) I combine both loves – web designing by day and maths tutoring each evening.
I first met Jill in a leprosy hospital in southern Nepal at the turn of the century, a story too long to tell here. We’ve been friends ever since and now it's great to be working together to give small healthcare practices the websites they need to help grow their businesses.
When I'm not working I'll be doing my best to persuade my wife, kids or friends to play geeky board games with me. Either that or I'll be charging around on a tennis court somewhere.
My idea of heaven - A nice long walk in the Peak District followed by a pint and a pub dinner by the river as the sun goes down.
Louise Green
Digital Advertising Ninja
(When someone needs their Facebook Ads account unpicking we all look at Louise)
Prior to having a family, I spent 14 years working in a variety of buying and merchandising departments, responsible for everything from women's clothing to Christmas decorations! I was very fortunate to be able to spend the next 5 years at home with my children, before having the opportunity to use my merchandising and retailing skills in a new area of digital marketing. I am really enjoying this new challenge, particularly analysing data to identify opportunities to improve business performance.

Adrian Casis III
Content Creator Geek
I'm the video and content creator for Practice Momentum. I'm an illustrator and graphic artist by heart and have been fascinated by the arts since I was young.
I help the team with all of the digital content for Practice Momentum, from our education and social media videos, and audio to any other graphic design needs. One of the things I love about working with Jill is that we pitch ideas back and forth which excites me and helps keep the creative juices flowing.
When not at work I'm such a sucker for anything geeky from Star Wars, Superhero movies, and Anime! I'm also an avid Pokémon Go player! But when it's go time, working with the team is a joy because we're able to maintain the 'work/life balance', having time for work and producing the content that helps people, and having time for our families. I look forward to every team meeting because it's like catching up with friends, which is good for all of us and keeps us happy with working together as a team for your benefit.
My idea of heaven - Being with my family and close friends at the beach or mountainside, with good food, conversation, and a spectacular sunset view.
Amit Singh
SEO Specialist
(He understands things about Google, the rest of us don't even know is a thing!)
I aspired to be a doctor, but destiny had other plans for me. With a heart set on making a difference in healthcare, I embarked on a journey that led me to become a healthcare marketer with a focus on SEO strategies. Despite not wearing a white coat, I've found my calling in helping healthcare professionals reach more patients through the power of digital marketing.
Having worked with important brands worldwide, my expertise in SEO has become an effective tool in the healthcare domain. Empowering medical practices to make a difference in people's lives, has become my true calling.
Outside my life of marketing, I cherish every moment spent with my family and friends, sharing laughter and joy. When I'm not working, you might find me indulging in my love for reading or exploring the wonders of nature.
My vision of ultimate contentment revolves around seeing healthcare providers thrive, knowing that I've played a part in their success.
My idea of heaven - Meditating in serene destinations, exploring the world's wonders, and feeling inner peace with every journey.

Jen Sands - Administration and Surprise Fairy
(if something magically happens in the business, it's usually Jens work)
I have always been an ‘admin bod’, and after starting my family and quite simply having had enough of sitting in an office full of people, I decided to start my own business working as a Virtual Assistant.
I support Jill in Practice Momentum working in the background doing all things admin; every day is different. I just love a challenge of analysing new data, book-keeping and invoicing, researching healthcare professionals, organising meetings as well as email and diary management. It’s wonderful working within the Practice Momentum team and being part of a close-knit team, despite us all living at different ends of the country. Between juggling three young children and our family pooch, my days and weeks find themselves full, so sometimes you might receive an email from me in the depths of the night!

Swadesh Baniya
SEO Specialist
(He understands things about Google that the rest of us don't even know is a thing!)
I always wanted something different from a regular job and marketing seemed like a perfect avenue for me.
Working at Practice Momentum is really fulfilling as I can impact hardworking practice owners and help them to impact a lot of people positively. I am obsessed with increasing the visibility of websites and driving their growth positively and am very committed to working with like-minded people. I am a workaholic and value my professional life but nothing gives me more joy than being with my family.
I graduated from college and ended up marrying my high school sweetheart which is one of the best things that happened in my life.
My wife has blessed me with a daughter who is currently 3. She loves telling me stories as if I am her best friend and in many ways I am.
When I am not working, I am up in the hills and mountains, away from the city (Kathmandu) enjoying time with my family. I love peace and quiet and the only person in the world who I’ll happily be disturbed by is my daughter.
My idea of heaven - Being on a beach where there is an infinite blue ahead, wispy clouds on the horizon as I hear the laughter of my wife and daughter.

Bupe Masenga
African Admin Queen
Inside Practice Momentum I am the go-to-girl working alongside Jen and Jo for any office admin tasks; from research, social media scheduling, and mailbox admin, you name it!
With 18 years experience in sales, marketing, customer relations and business administration, I enjoy being part of a business development team. The goal is to make sure our clients are well supported and to ensure their patients are happier.
I am a single mother of 2, I adore my little precious gifts, my son and daughter. I enjoy extreme sports just as much as I enjoy quiet moments close to the water.
Living in a small Zambian town called Solwezi, just 9 hours drive away from the capital, I never thought I would ever be part of an international virtual team. We are here to support your practice.
My idea of heaven - touring the world, tasting different cuisines, and learning from different cultures.

Carl Bolante
Customer Service Champion
Here inside Practice Momentum, I work alongside Jen to provide email management and customer service support for our healthcare clients. I like doing activities that make me feel alive! I really enjoy extreme sports such as sky diving, bungee jumping, and paragliding! Career-wise, I have over 6 years of experience in the customer service industry, with 4 of them being part of the training and management team! I grew up in a small town in the Philippines, away from a lot of distractions. I had to start working early because of family complications.
I'm really passionate about what I do and I really treasure human connection. In my free time, I do a bit of charity work. I help underprivileged children, help animal shelters, and I make sure that I'm present for people who need me mentally.
My idea of heaven - Being up in the sky and dancing in the clouds.

Our Practice Momentum Team Timeline
2000
Jill is working at Huddersfield University teaching Podiatry and working evenings & weekends in her podiatry practice.
Jill gets a sabbatical to go to Nepal to teach wound care skills at a Leprosy hospital.
Jill meets Dave at said Leprosy hospital who is living there with his wife Liz who is a UK GP working at the hospital.
2005
Jill meets Louise in Marrakesh whilst traveling with her brother on an overland trip.
Louise meets Jill's brother . . . . and the rest as they say is history.
2006
Jill & her husband buy a small cottage in the Derbyshire Peak District to renovate (this is relevant to the story!)
Jill has the idea for her first online business - One More Move - a website to support military families with relocating.
Jill starts using social media and learning how to code websites.
2009
The cottage in Derbyshire finally gets finished and set up as a holiday cottage.
Jill and her husband learn they are being posted to Pakistan, so Jill starts her first blog to re-home their cat (Mandu) called Doyouthinkyoucouldloveme.com
Blogging and Tweeting as if she is the cat Jill was amazed at how much interest she got from round the world - the cat lived happily ever after with a retired couple in Kent.
Jill spent the next 12 months living in Pakistan in a compound immersing herself in the Internet and learning all about digital marketing.
2010
Using digital marketing Jill manages to get their holiday cottage booked out for 45 weeks of the year - which is pretty amazing!
Living in Pakistan Jill learns a lot more about cyber security (or rather insecurity) and decides to close down One More Move, nervous about running a military based website.
Returning back to the UK Jill attends a 2 day Facebook workshop to learn more about using it for marketing the cottage. At the end of the second day, 3 local business owners approached her asking for her help with their digital marketing and Crowd Connections is born.
2011
Jills moves house again and ends up living across the road from Jo another military wife and fellow health professional. They connect on Facebook.
More clients join Crowd Connections which is great but not so great is the time taken to learn about each new industry.
Jill sees clients struggling with websites and thanks to the connectivity of Facebook knows that Dave has started a web development business so she asks for his help. He says no because he feels he doesn't have enough Wordpress experience to support Jill's clients :-(
2012
Jill persuades Jo, who is on a career break from the NHS, to join her in Crowd Connections and help deliver social media services for clients.
Jill is approached by a potential client wanting help with their digital marketing having been recommended by another client. I turns out this guy sells supply ships into the oil industry!
This is the moment Jill decides that focusing on one industry is going to make the business much more efficient, so her and Jo decide to focus on just supporting health practitioners.
2013
Jill and her husband move again, this time to the North of Scotland and fall in love with the area.
With the move comes the need to find new clients or a new way of working. Jill decides to pivot from face to face consultant work to online coaching.
Jill & Jo quickly got used to working remotely and they attracted new coaching clients.
2014
Instead of keeping them in Scotland for 3 years, the Army decide on a short notice move and Jill and her husband get relocated to Turkey.
It started with an exciting 17 day road trip from the north of Scotland to Izmir on the Aegean coast. On the face of it, the move was very exciting and a real adventure but, the reality was hard.
Jill discovers that the Turkish electricity and Internet infrastructure is very flaky and keeping client appointments becomes a real challenge.
2015
Jill comes close to throwing in the towel as constantly reinventing the business is really hard and means you never quite get your business to a stage where it is thriving.
Two e-mails from potential clients (Dianne Ashcroft and Lyndon Jones) persuade her to give it one more go.
Jill starts to learn how to run online programs her; website coding skills coming in useful.
Jill launches her first online program Your Google Search Results and gets one student - Dianne Ashcroft đ
The Army decide on another short notice move and less than a year after arriving in Izmir Jill and her husband are relocated back to the UK
Amazingly their new house is less than 2 miles from Dave's house so shortly after arriving back in the UK Jill approaches Dave and asks if he'd consider building websites for health practitioners - this time he says YES!
Jill is realising that running a purely digital business requires a whole different set of skills and is still struggling to make her online business humm
2016
Early in 2016 Jill decides to run a social media workshop in Manchester. Knowing there is huge need she jumps in with both feet and books a great venue in Manchester - 4 people book onto the workshop - a sign that she still has a lot to learn
In the summer of 2016 Jill created and launched Practice Momentum Accelerator a virtual 9 month intensive coaching program. There were 9 practitioners who went through the first program.
2017
Jill brought Louise onto the team after realising that her analytical mind and experience working in retail (that she decided not to go back to after having a family) would bring a great new skill set to the team. Louise started developing her knowledge of Google analytics, SEO and online advertising.
October saw Jill's first ever live webinar. With almost 200 registered attendees it should have been amazing, but it was a disaster as Webinarjam didn't work properly and users had all kinds of problems accessing the call. Live and learn!
Following the webinar the Sombrero Club was born - a paid membership group for practitioners wanting to be supported and encouraged by Jill and fellow practitioners.
2018
After 3 years living in one place it was time for another move and notification that Jill was being relocated to Australia with her husband triggered the final addition to the team. Keen to outsource most of the day to day administration for the business, Jill interviewed 9 potential VA candidates. With no doubt at all, she settled on Jen as the person she felt she could work well with and who had the skills she was looking for.
The team was complete - for now...
