THE CLOCK IS TICKING ⏰ 😁
OK let's get started - one step at a time
There are 9 steps you have to work your way through to pull together all of the information we need from you, to build your new website.
Please start with step 1. - but after that, it's up to you.
To navigate to the section you want to work on next just click the relevant button.
1. Getting Started
Before you start pulling all of your website content together you need to understand 3 things

1. Using Dropbox folders for storage
Jen will have set these up for you, but if you haven't been connected to them yet drop her an email ([email protected]) and ask for the link - be sure to use the email address you have linked to your Dropbox account.
This short video will show you how to use Dropbox.

2. Using Slack for communication
Jen will also have set up a Slack channel for you. Drop her an email ([email protected]) if you haven't got access or have forgotten how to access your Slack channel.
This short video will show you how to use Slack.

3. The importance of good photographs
As the saying goes, a picture paints 1,000 words - but only if it's a good quality image. So we want to be sure you are only going to provide us with great quality images. But don't panic these do not have to be professional photographs.
Click the image to download your photography guide to help make sure your photographs are going to be up to the mark.
2. Hosting & Branding
This is the behind the scenes stuff
To make sure Dave can access your existing website & can accurately recreate your branding on the new website we need some tech & design info.
Jen will have put most of this content into your Dropbox folder but we just want to make sure we have got everything.
3. Home Page
Tell a story, BUT not yours!
Your homepage will be the most viewed page on your website & whilst looking good is part of its impact, the words you use and the structure you follow are more important. The secret here is not to tell your story, but to invite your patients into a story they can relate to. So we are going to help you tell that story in a way that will resonate. The link below takes you to a blog post that explains how this method works.

Your Story Brand
This blog post will help you understand the principle behind the Story Brand please read it before you start to work on your Homepage
4. About Page
Tell the world who you are and why you do what you do
The About Page is often the second most visited page on people's websites. So it needs to be good & it needs to work hard for you, so you need to get the content right.
Contrary to popular belief it isn't all about you! Take the time to read through the About page cheat sheet to learn everything you need to know about creating an effective about page
5. How We Help
What problems do you want to see more of?
This is the section where you identify six problems you can help your patients with. The ones that you want to see more of in your practice.
We are not going to write everything you know about each problem, simply paint the picture that you've seen them before, have got a solution that has worked before, and share some patient stories.
6. The Clinic
Let's paint a picture of how great your clinic is
As much as it would be lovely to think that patients are going to come and see us because of how great we are at what we do, that is simply not the case. People want to go somewhere they feel safe and enjoy being. So it's up to you to paint that picture about your clinic.

7. Contact Page
Give people a choice
We all prefer to communicate in different ways, so it's your job to give people as many different ways as possible to connect with you. This is what a great Contact page does.

8. Blog
Every great website needs a magnet to draw in visitors
Your blog is where you create fresh content that will draw people to you. Not because of what you are selling but because of how you help them.
If you already have existing blog posts on your website we will need to copy them across, but it's pointless copying out of date or really poor quality posts. So this is where we filter out the poor ones and filter in the great ones.
N.B. We need to have a minimum of 3 blog posts and a maximum of 10 to publish on your website, so if you don't have enough you will need to create some new ones. So we are including our Guide to Practice Blogging here to help you.
9. Landing Page
Time to Choose
As part of your website package, you get one landing page. A page that doesn't appear on your main menu and is built to welcome patients for a very specific purpose.
This can either be a page encouraging people to leave you an online review or a page where you direct people from your Google My Business (GMB) profile so that they have a more seamless experience.
You choose - choose which one you'd like & download the relevant instruction sheet.
